Grant Application Form

Whether you are already a high achiever or whether you’re beginning at the bottom – we want to assist those of you who wish to make changes in order to improve themselves or others and then hopefully help others to do the same. Each year we would like to offer up to $10,000 for grants to worthy causes (groups or individuals) who would benefit and put to good use such grants. Each application will be assessed on its merits and all applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.

There will be $10,000 available each year with grants totaling $2000 being made in each of February, April, June, August and November. So if you would like us to help you make a difference either download the Application Form (and Terms and Conditions) or request one by writing to:

Towards the cost of rent and refreshments for Birth Wise (Wgtn) Inc's Childbirth and Early Parenting Courses

   

To Wellington South Time Bank to assist with the cost of professional supervision of the coordinator to ensure the effective running of the Time Bank.

   

To Ridgway School for the hire of a pizza oven for their Food Fiesta - as they try to raise the final $7k for their new all weather sports court surface.

   
 

To the Brooklyn Northern United Junior Football Club for the purchase of new balls and playing shirts due to the unprecedented growth of the club this year.

Sponsorship of a bachelor for the Men in the City charity fundraiser on behalf of the Autism Intervention Trust.
   
To enable residents in an Idea Services home to establish a garden and grow vegetables etc.
   
To assist with funding for an internship with the NZ Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
   
To Transition Town Brooklyn to enable the creation of a community orchard.
   
To assist the Turbine Toastmasters Club with the cost of their meeting room rental.
   
To Brooklyn School to assist with a fundraising night to enable the purchase of a shade cover for the playground.
   
To assist Ridgway School with their fundraisung for a school hall by being one of the sponsors of their Fashion Show
   
For promotion of a Newtown Gallery specialising in contemporary illustrative art thereby assisting exhibiting artists and the artistic community.
   
To assist with the costs of printing and marketing a book of short stories written by young refugees.
   
To assist with day care fees to enable a single parent to continue with her tertiary studies.
   

To the Wellington South Parents Centre for childbirth education booklets to be given out at their ante-natal classes.

   

To help promote the Birth Centre For Wellington project with the premier screening of a film showing global models of maternity care.

   

To the Brooklyn Early Childhood Centre to assist with the organisation of the Wind Walk - a community walk from the Community Centre to the Wind Turbine and back.

   

 

To a small business to enable the development of better business skills and a more professional customer focus.

                                         

   

 

To assist with course fees for a Teaching Certificate in Thetahealing.

   

 

For the purchase of a new block unit and multi purpose bin for storing blocks and other wooden play equipment at the Brooklyn Playcentre.                                            

   

 

To assist with the cost of updating the www.babywebnz.org website - an information directory for parents with info from finding a midwife to baby friendly cafes.

   

 

To publish the stories of refugees who have come to New Zealand to start new lives - as a form of therapy and to develop communication skills.          

   
 

 

To assist an online health support service "The Naked Trainer" which will provide a free exercise and nutrition log with free motivational support services.

   
 

 

To an Early Childhood Centre to help with the WCC consent fee for renovations to enable them to retain their operating licence.
